In an outstanding demonstration of effort to support the educational journey of our young scholars, Hon. Theresa Lardi Awuni has donated over 1,500 maths sets to students across 50 schools in Okaikwei North. This generous initiative would go a long way to help equip BECE candidates for their impending examinations and is another show of the unflinching commitment of the MP to issues of education and youth empowerment.
Supporting BECE Candidates
This is so because since the BECE exam is a very crucial point in the life of our students academically, the math set provision supports them to prepare well for their exams. It has the added benefit of relieving the parents from financial strain and sends an unequivocal message to our children: the community believes in them and invests in their success. The donation cut across the constituency and benefited over 50 schools. To many schools, this gesture has only confirmed Hon. Awuni’s commitment to being inclusive and not leaving any student behind in Okaikwei North.
Support Beyond Basic Education for the Youth
This latest initiative is one of the greatest of many honors of Hon. Theresa Lardi Awuni. In all of these, one is only reminded of her relentless effort towards impacting positively on her constituents’ lives especially when it comes to capacity-building for the youth.
She has provided support to countless constituents in training programs for the youth: various entrepreneurship ventures, leadership, and mentoring seminars; training programs from media and content creation to artisanal product manufacturing. Her participation as a resource person underscores her commitment to training the new generation of leaders.
Looking Ahead
As we prepare for the next electoral season, we need to ponder over these shining achievements and return Hon. Theresa Lardi Awuni to her office. With a proven record in impactful initiatives and her commitment to the constituency, she remains the all-important asset for Okaikwei North. The Communications Bureau, under the hashtag #YouForKnow, has continued to trumpet these successes to bring to the fore awareness by all and sundry to do the right thing on December 7.
We are, on our part, playing a role in ensuring that Okaikwei North attains that better future through various engagements within the community—be it social media, person-to-person campaigns, and many others. The leadership and dedication of Hon. Awuni must become the lighthouse of hope and progress. We shall pull resources together, rejoice in our little achievements, and work to see to it that Okaikwei North continues to be one of the best under her leadership.
